Baking Soda + Citric Acid Cleaning Recipes (Updated 2022)

Stain Remover

Mix 1/4 cup vinegar +

1/4 cup baking soda +

1 squirt of Clean Plate Club +

2 cups of water

Store in a spray bottle + shake before use.

Spray on tough stains before laundering.

Stainless Steel Cleaner

Mix 2.5 teaspoons citric acid +

1 cup water

Spray stained areas + let sit for 5 - 15 minutes.

Rub gently

Dishwasher Detergent

3 parts Laundry Powder

1 Part Citric Acid

Mix + Sprinkle into detergent dispenser

Window Cleaner

Mix 1/4 teaspoon of citric acid +

1 cup Water

Spray + wipe with dry microfiber cloth.

Mix 1 teaspoon of vinegar +

1 cup of water

Spray + wipe with dry microfiber cloth

Drain Cleaner

Pour 8 oz of baking soda down the drain, followed by vinegar. Allow foam to settle.

Repeat until all the baking soda is gone.

Bathroom Cleaner

Fill a jar with:

1.5 cups of baking soda

1/2 cup of warm water

1/2 cup of liquid castille soap

2 tablespoons of vinegar.

(For extra grimey grout, you can also add a touch of lemon juice.)

Hardwood Floor Cleaner

2 tablespoons of castille soap

+ A gallon of warm water

Then mop.

Oven Cleaner

Mix enough:

Liquid castille soap

Baking soda

Coarse salt

+ Vinegar to make a thick paste.

(For deodorizing power, add three to four drops of vanilla or lavender essential oil)

Apply the paste to the interior of the oven and let it sit overnight.

Next, soak a sponge in warm water and scrub thoroughly.

Finally, spray the entire oven with white vinegar and wipe once more with a clean cloth.

Hello, Interesting article. Do you have recipe for Remover Stain and Odor for pet using citric acid and baking soda?. And can we mixed both (citric acid and baking soda) and use it for cleaning?. Thanks a lot 😊
